Joshua Smith is a photographic
artist and designer based in
Fresno, California

Joshua’s art begins in the wild, where weather, shadow, and stillness shape the land. He seeks out the quietest hours—fog rolling through timber, winter light settling over ridges, landscapes holding a somber or understated mood. His photographs distill these moments into work that’s built on tone, restraint, and atmosphere.

The Hushwood collection is Joshua’s most distilled vision: monochrome scenes chosen for depth and calm, printed on natural birch and float-framed, where grain and texture become part of the image itself.

He aims to create art rich in detail that quietly anchors interior spaces with warmth and composure.

The Longer Story

Joshua’s practice has always centered on the art of noticing subleties—years spent admiring how weather, mood, and light give wilderness places their character. Increasingly, he finds himself drawn to environments where fog softens the world, winter light settles the landscape, and subtle shifts in tone do more than any burst of color.

This enduring pull has shaped the kind of images Joshua makes: photographs that evoke calm, depth, and a sense of presence. He selects scenes for how they feel—moments when atmosphere leads and the land falls into a quieter register.

His Hushwood Collection grew out of this way of seeing. Each work in the collection is chosen for its ability to bring those same qualities—stillness, warmth, and material depth—into spaces designed for living, gathering, and reflection.

Linsey spent much of her childhood with pencil or paintbrush in hand. Art was the clear direction until anxieties of a “career path” set in. After one year as a Studio Art and Design major, Linsey turned her focus to the built environment and earned a BFA in Interior Architecture.

While learning to balance her time between agency and freelance work, a new opportunity to serve as the Art Director for trade publications Designers Today, Home Accents Today, and other titles reignited her love for interiors.

From logo, to print collateral, to physical place of business, Linsey and collaborative colleagues have strengthened clients’ connections with their customers through creative, communicative, and cohesive experiences.

Expecting to begin her professional career in the interior design field, her path took a sudden pivot into the world of print and marketing. Serving Graphic Designer and Creative Director roles, she worked closely with local, regional, and national brands on everything from branding, to packaging, to signage.

For more than a decade, Linsey fought through self-inflicted pressure to choose between graphic and interior design disciplines until she gradually began to combine her varied skill sets, allowing her to consider each project from a more holistic perspective and overlap services as needed.

Linsey’s focus shifts again—this time back toward her earliest passions. Today, she approaches fine art and surface design through a seasoned lens, drawing from a diverse set of creative skills and experiences.
